Welcome to the world of Yiddish Summer!

This year, we are pleased to offer yet another series of exciting concerts that will pique your interest – in music, culture, and the special group of people who meet each year in Weimar to create the unique atmosphere that YSW is known for – and which we now bring to Erfurt. Enjoy a colorful cast of musicians from all over the world – this year’s highlight is Israel – representing a wide array of traditions, from Eastern European/Ashkenazi music with cantors from the Geiger Kolleg in Potsdam, to Moroccan- and Iraqi-Jewish melodies by Yair Dalal und Yagel Haroush, the Israeli hipster Klezmer band The Yiddish Blues Drifters, and – to crown it all – the 30-member CARAVAN ORCHESTRA from Haifa and Weimar in the Erfurt Rathausfestsaal. You are also welcome to our session at the Speicher near the Old Synagogue, the main venue of Yiddish Summer goes Erfurt. Seats are limited, so be sure to reserve tickets ahead of time!
